YPC Committees - Young Professionals of Chicago

YPC Members have the option to serve on one of 11 committees, dedicating their spare time and energy to help execute on the organization's strategic goals and objectives. Committees are the driving force behind YPC's strategy, programs, member development and community outreach.

	Corporate Membership Committee The Corporate Membership Committee forms strategic partnerships with college campuses, human resource departments of local companies and Chicago branches of national corporations to help expand the reach of YPC's member development. 	Finance Committee The Finance Committee is responsible for managing and reporting on the organization's financial activities as well as assisting other committees with budgeting for events and/or other strategic initiatives. 	Marketing Committee The Marketing Committee creates all internal and external YPC communications, including YPC's print ads, e-mail distributions, newsletters, event calendars, and promotional materials. They are also responsible for maintaining relationships with media outlets and the content of the website. 	Membership Committee The Membership Committee drives and markets the value of YPC to non-members to increase our membership base and reach. In addition, the Membership Committee welcomes new members into our organization and ensures member satisfaction and retention. 	Professional Development Committee The Professional Development Committee plans and executes the organization's professional events. These events connect YPC members with leaders in Chicago's business, philanthropic, academic, and political communities as well as with other young professionals. They are also responsible for organizing classes, and seminars to further our members' professional education and development. 	Social Committee The Social Committee coordinates social and cultural events for casual networking at Chicago's new and most unique venues. Events include wine and food tastings, art exhibitions, happy hours and dinners, theater and comedy nights, sports outings and sports leagues. 	Sponsorship Committee The Sponsorship Committee is responsible for soliciting companies and organizations that would be interested in supporting YPC's endeavors financially as well as providing attractive benefits to our members through in-kind donations. Committee members will also help solicit event specific sponsors to improve the overall value of our events. 	Strategic Partnerships Committee The Strategic Partnerships Committee identifies other organizations with whom YPC has an interest in engaging and/or aligning with to further YPC initiatives. The primary goals of the committee include increasing brand awareness and developing mutually-beneficial, strategic relationships that will help increase YPC's exposure in the Chicago business and philanthropic community. Volunteerism Committee

The Volunteerism Committee provides access to ongoing volunteer and civic leadership opportunities in Chicago. Our volunteer events range from mentoring students and playing softball with at-risk youth to serving on auxiliary boards for other non-profits.
